Fig Tree Anthology 2024 Launch

The Fig Tree Anthology 2024 is a collection of 48 poems by 43 different poets from around the UK and the United States. It reflects the diversity of modern life while looking back on childhood memories and family history. The poems explore the relationship between poetry and the visual arts , the tensions inherent in politics, and the nature of the human condition.

Poems from the anthology, and others of their choice, were read by some the poets included in the anthology. The event also celebrated the launch of Crooked Spire Press.

Thanks to Stephanie Bisby for allowing us to use the church, Fiona Fellows for making the delicious cakes and doing all refreshing duties, and Tracy Dawson, Paul Brookes, Adam Strickson and Fiona for supplying photos for the gallery.
