Ian Parks’ new poetry collection The Sons of Darkness and the Sons of Light was launched on Saturday 11 October 2025 at Doncaster Unitarian and Free Christian Church. Ian’s special guests were Susan Darlington, Steve Ely, and Laura Strickland with music by Liam Wilkinson.
An appreciative audience of over 50 poetry enthusiasts listened intently to two sets from Ian himself, including his epic title poem, and fine poetry from Susan, Laura and Steve. They were also treated to a lovely set of songs from Liam.
We would like to thank Stephanie Bisby and the Unitarian Church in Doncaster for providing the venue, Fiona Fellows for organizing the refreshments and the various members of Read To Write who helped out on the day.
